Practicalities

Travel / Weather / Money / Visa
Berlin is excellently connected via the two international airports Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld, serving flights to almost everywhere in the world. Railroad connections are outstanding also, with the new central train station Berlin Hauptbahnhof, train services to all over Europe are available. Berlin‘s climate leaves an average temperature of 14.5° C (58° F) to be expected in May. Germany‘s currency is the European Union‘s (EU) Euro (€), divided into 100 cents. Foreign currencies are easily exchanged at airports, train stations and banks. As a member of the EU, Germany does not require visa for EU residents. Please contact your nearest German embassy for travel information from non-EU-countries.
